Next month’s board meeting will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday June 2, in the cafeteria at Nauset Regional Middle School in Orleans (70 South Orleans Rd.) For the three years I’ve been involved with this organization, Lower Cape Pop Warner has been trying to find a location more centrally located within our boundaries which range from Yarmouth to Provincetown. NRMS is that place thanks to Principal Greg Baecker’s offer for the use of their facilities. This would include gym space for cheerleaders, practice and game fields for our football teams, and storage space for our equipment. All this plus a new snack bar come at a cost which is considerably less than what we currently pay at CC Tech while eventually eliminating what we have to pay to store our equipment. We encourage all to attend this very important meeting and to come see the potential new home of our beloved Bluefins. The major item on the agenda will be the final decision on whether or not to make NRMS our new home or remain at CC Tech. Please come at 6:30 P.M. for a tour of the fields and gyms where the kids can practice this fall. I think you’ll be pleased with what you see. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the move please let Kristin know via email so that she can add them to the agenda for the meeting and give you some time to voice your concerns following our presentation. More details about the agreement will be provided at the meeting including a comparison to CC Tech’s quote for facility use for this coming season. We have 89 kids signed up for the 2010 season and things are looking good for E thru B but we need more football players so that the returning players from last years B Squad plus two rookies can have an A-TEAM. Recruit, Recruit, Recruit! so these boys don’t miss out on football this year. (See age and weight requirements below)

(105-160 lbs.)

(105-140 lb. Older/Lighter)
11, 12 ,13, & 14 year olds

15 year olds
8/1/95 – 7/31/99 8/1/94 – 7/31/95

Please help recruit more cheerleaders. I was looking at a program book from 2007 when we had 9 cheerleaders and only one squad. This year it looks like four squads but it would be nice to have more girls for our competition levels (C&B) and perhaps have an A cheer squad. Contact Saga or Kristin if you know any girls who want to participate in our growing program.

Help field five teams this year!!!!!!!!!!

We also have a car wash scheduled for Sunday May 30th from 10-2 at Hinckleys Home Center in East Harwich and a coin drive at the Stop & Shop in E. Harwich at the same time, please reply to this email if your child is registered for the 2010 season and available to help out at the car wash- get a jump start on your fundraising!!
